About Paula Atherton: 

Sax player/vocalist/songwriter Paula Atherton has shared the stage with such contemporary jazz notables as The Rippingtons, Nick Colionne, Chuck Loeb, Cindy Bradley, Brian Simpson, Althea Renee, Four80East, David Sanborn, Bob James, Marc Antoine, Hiroshima, Gerald Albright and Chieli Minucci. 

Paula has also worked in the traditional jazz field; one of the notable performances being a weeklong engagement at the Blue Note NYC with pianist and jazz legend, Hank Jones. Paula also performed with Grammy award winning singer Dee Dee Bridgewater at the Annenberg Theater, for the Palm Springs Women’s Jazz Festival. 

Atherton has enjoyed 9 Billboard Top 30 charting singles including her #1 May 2020 hit “Can You Feel It,” #1 August 2021 hit, “Summer Song” and current single, “Keep it Comin’”, which has reached #1 on Mediabase and #4 on Billboard in April of 2022. Previous singles include “Sassy Strut,” “Herbie,” (from “Enjoy the Ride”), “Between You & Me,” (from “Ear Candy”), “My Song For You,” and “Into the Night,” (from “Shake It”) and “Just Can’t Stop” 

Atherton was also featured on Cindy Bradleys’ single, “Girl Talk,” which hit #2 on Billboard. In Dec 2020 Paula was nominated “Artist of the Year” by the Smooth Jazz Network. Paula is on the board of the New Brunswick Jazz Festival as an educational consultant, and F2F Foundation in Houston- a Foundation whose purpose to get instruments to students whose families can’t afford them, and to do jazz workshops, to help students that come from low- income families further their education. 

Paula also works for an organization called “Music that Heals,” which brings music to cancer patients, people in hospice, and recently, virtually, through a partnership with Gods’ Love We Deliver, virtually to people receiving meals from Gods’ Love We Deliver.
